GBPH CPR/AED Training - June 27th

Learn CPR. Save a Life.

CPR – or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating. Immediate CPR can double or triple chances of survival after cardiac arrest. CPR works to keep the blood flow active, which allows for successful resuscitation when trained medical staff arrive.

AED – or an Automated External Defibrillator – delivers an electric shock through the chest to the heart when it detects an abnormal rhythm and changes the rhythm back to normal. AEDs help people who have a sudden cardiac arrest, which occurs when the heart suddenly stops beating regularly.

Our Public Health Nurses are hosting local CPR/AED trainings for students, residents, and employees in Boylston, Northborough, Southborough, and Westborough! Check this page for training dates and the registration links.
